3D software for developers

3D software recommended for professional development includes:

    Cortona SDK

    Vrmlpad + Extrusion Editor

    Cortona Movie Maker

Cortona SDK
Cortona SDK provides an application programming interface (API) that enables developers to integrate ParallelGraphics 3D technology into other applications using C/C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, HTML, as well as any other third party applications supporting ActiveX technology (like MS Access, MS PowerPoint). The documents describe the objects, properties, and methods exposed by the Cortona ActiveX control.

Vrmlpad + Extrusion Editor
VrmlPad is an advanced editor for VRML coding. The key features of VrmlPad include smart autocomplete, dynamic errors detection, visual support for the scene tree, integrated script debugger, and publishing wizard amongst others. VrmlPad is a must have for all VRML professionals.

Extrusion Editor is a visual plug-in for VrmlPad for the creation and editing of extrusion models. The use of extrusions instead of IndexedFaceSet models allows for the reduction of the model size while retaining its visual quality.

Cortona Movie Maker
Cortona Movie Maker allows you to create video spots or high-resolution screenshots from interactive animated VRML models without any loss in quality or dropped frames. It captures all the movements, animations and user actions from a 3D scene to record AVI, QuickTime, Windows Media and RealMedia movies or hi-resolution images in PNG, JPEG, and BMP formats.
